Alan A. Fenty – Public Relations Specialist

Alan Fenty has acted as the Guyana Government’s Chief Information Officer in its then Ministry of Information during the years 1980 – 1986.

Before that attachment, Alan worked as a teacher then editor / writer in preparing new relevant Supplementary Readers for Primary School-level students.

After the Ministry of Information, he served as the Public Relations Officer for the Public Relations Commission, later making time to fashion executive public relations programmes/campaigns for such entities as a major political party, the Guyana Police Force and the Guyana Agricultural and General Workers Union, among others.

Currently a long-serving Stabroek News columnist, Alan contributes to many media and has his own television programme, the Cook Up Show.  He has also authored many informational supplements and articles, and he works on various public relations projects for Guyenterprise.
